Masterclass series

This interactive masterclass series sole focus will be on learning and understanding the different business and practice management components involved in owning and running a successful dental practice. During this recent challenging economic time, it is that much more important for practice owners to focus on the business of dentistry in order to continue to thrive and deliver outstanding care. Unfortunately, most dental schools do not adequately prepare their students with the business knowledge that is required to become truly successful upon graduation and once dentists buy their own practice, most quickly realize that life becomes far more stressful than when they were associates.

It is common to feel isolated and even spouses do not fully understand the daily stresses that owners go through. This group is a safe place for practice owners to connect, to share their struggles, and ultimately to help each other. Peter and Angela will share their knowledge and experience that have helped them grow successful practices – very different from each other – and will help facilitate the discussions among the participants so that we can also learn from one another.

Special guest speakers will be brought in occasionally for specific topics. The meeting will be hosted in Calgary, however, it will be broadcast internationally and recorded to allow remote access available for those who are unable to travel to join us.

Calgary Dental Business Study Club

This Calgary interactive study club is unique in that the sole focus will be on learning and understanding the different business and practice management components involved in owning and running a successful dental practice. During this challenging economic time in Calgary, it is that much more important for practice owners to focus on the business of dentistry in order to continue to thrive. Unfortunately, most dental schools do not adequately prepare their students with the business knowledge that is required to become truly successful upon graduation and once dentists buy their own practice, most quickly realize that life becomes far more stressful than when they were associates. It is common to feel isolated and even spouses do not fully understand the daily stresses that owners go through. This study club is a safe place for practice owners to connect, to share their struggles, and ultimately to help each other. Peter will share his knowledge and experience that has helped him grow a successful practice, and he will help facilitate the discussions among the participants so that we can also learn from one another. Each monthly meeting will take place on a Thursday evening from 6:30pm to 9:30pm at a cost of $300 per meeting. The meeting location will typically be held at SkyCAD Dental Technology LTD’s boardroom in Calgary with food and refreshments provided but the location may change if we require a larger facility to accommodate all the participants.
